Q: What made you join MUN?
A: “I joined MUN because I thought it would be a good opportunity to improve my public speaking skills and learn some more on current events.”
Q: What do you expect from the conference? What do you expect to learn as a new delegate?
A: “I expect the conference to be less engaging because it’s online, although I think it’s going to be a fun and interesting experience because we can get to know interesting new people and... look at the gossip box. Something I expect to learn as a new delegate is to speak in public confidently without preparing myself. I also expect to learn more about the perspective of other nations on global issues.”
Q: What committee are you in for this year’s conference and what is your debate topic? Why do you think this topic is important to address in an MUN conference?
A: “I’m in the environmental committee and our debate topic is the  use of fossil fuels during the covid pandemic and the issue of increasing desertification. I believe this topic is important to address because it is a relevant topic that is happening nowadays and in the long run, can become a big problem. It has also been a problem for many years and discussing solutions to it is interesting.”

Q: What made you join MUN?
A: “I joined MUN because I thought it would be a good opportunity to meet people in different grades and I thought it would be good for me to practice public speaking and learn about what different countries' views are on current events.”
Q: What do you expect from the conference? What do you expect to learn as a new delegate?
A: “I expect it to be a little awkward because it’s virtual. But I expect it to be interesting and fun because you get to meet people from different schools. I expect to learn how to answer questions on the spot and how to argue with somebody without screaming at them.”
Q: What committee are you in and what is your debate topic? Why do you think this topic is important to address in an MUN conference?
A: “I’m in the human rights committee and my topic of debate is the issue of the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. I think this topic is important because it's what news sources are covering at the moment. It's a crisis where there is no right or wrong answer, since it's very complex, and also there isn’t a solution at the moment.”

Q: What made you join MUN?
A: “A few things: firstly, to learn about modern world issues. It’s something that I find very interesting and I think MUN is a good way to do that. Secondly, I want to improve my public speaking skills, it’s something that I’ve always been not very good at. And lastly, it’s probably debating. I think debating is really fun — it sort of challenges you — which I enjoy and so that’s why I decided to join MUN.”
Q: What do you expect from the conference? What do you expect to learn as a new delegate?
A: “I mean, just by writing the clauses over the long weekend I learned a lot about my topic: desertification, climate change, rising sea levels - I’m in the environmental committee - and I enjoyed it a lot.”
Q: What committee are you in and what is your debate topic? Why do you think this topic is important to address in an MUN conference?
A: “As I’ve already mentioned, I’m in environmental and our main topics are fossil fuels, desertification and how to protect coastal cities from rising sea levels. Obviously, climate change is a very big issue today and it's not going to go away anytime soon.  It’s up to our generation to deal with climate change, so I think it’s important for younger minds to be educated about so that in the future we can find a solution.”
